7/17/2018 0 Comments Winter Skin Care Tips!Winter is probably one of the best seasons of the year. However, while it brings along a breath of cool air, it also dries up the skin, leaving it flaky and itchy. While there are some of the best skin care products in the market, purchasing these can be hard difficult on the bank account.
To help you achieve good skin, here are some of the best tips, most of which, preferred by dermatologists. - Use Gentler Skin Care Products According to many dermatologists, using gentle skin care products during the winter can work wonders. For the face, use a bland cleanser, and for your body, a nice fragranced body wash will be perfect. Plus, if you’re dealing with breakouts, just water will work fine. - Avoid Hot Showers or Baths Well, avoiding this in the winters may sound a bit weird, but in winters, taking hot showers and not moisturizing can create cracks in the surface of the skin. If you do indulge in a hot shower, keep your bathroom door closed and after you dry, moisturize. Look for products with ceramides as well as hyaluronic acid to keep the barrier of your skin from losing a lot of water. - Upgrade your Moisturizer Moisturizing your skin is crucial for keeping it hydrated throughout winter. Applying a thick moisturizer as soon as you get out of the bath or shower and then one more time during the day will help keep your skin feeling nice and smooth. Choose creams over lotions, also avoid fragrances as they cause irritation and dry skin. - Exfoliate Less During Winters If your skin is dry, then you indeed don’t exfoliate. However, if you want and need to, then exfoliate less than you would generally would because your skin barrier is going to be a little compromised because of the dryness and cold air. If your skin is fine with exfoliation, the do it once a week.
